The evolution of the original e-shift technology
JVC’s e-shift4 technology delivers clear 4K resolution (3840x2160) images using a clever process of shifting each pixel diagonally by half a pixel to multiply the resolution. The new projectors benefit from the latest version of this technology for improved clarity and high brightness, optimised for 4K 60p images.
Newly-developed ‘motion enhance’ blur-reduction technology
The new JVC projectors are not only equipped with JVC’s original blur-reduction technology, ‘Clear Motion Drive’, but also with a new technology called ‘Motion Enhance’. This technology minimises motion blur significantly by optimising the drive of the D-ILA device. Importantly, it is also compatible for 4K and 3D signals, to give a smooth, detailed picture for a variety of images.
Compatibility with the latest HDMI/HDCP2.2 standards
With the current expansion of 4K streaming and the next generation Blu-ray soon to be released, JVC projectors incorporate the latest HDMI/HDCP2.2 standards. Both HDMI inputs will be compatible so two 4K copy protection products can be connected directly. These HDMI inputs will be capable of handling data transfer rate up to 18Gbps, which can deliver full spec native 4K signals such as 4K60p 4:4:4, 4K60p 4:2:2/36bit and 4K24p 4:4:4/36bit. This will mean a great improvement in colour tone and gradation.
‘Auto Calibration Function’* to optimise picture quality
All three new JVC projectors feature an ‘Auto Calibration Function’*, which calibrates the pictures under various environments automatically, by using a widely-available third-party optical sensor. As a result, the picture performance will be optimised for different viewing environments. In addition, this can also compromise for the changing colour balance found in long-term projector usage, so the projector can be kept performing at its best.
* In order to use the ‘Auto Calibration Function’, an optical sensor, exclusive software, PC and LAN cable is required.
